The room waits while you Alt‑Tab to the demo.

Then it's back to the laptop to find your slide again. With Vega Remote the switch happens on your phone: one tap puts the demo on the big screen, and Back to slide 4 brings back the slide you left.

      The controller in your hand

      One screen runs your whole talk. The room's view is the biggest thing on it, and the buttons sit where your thumb already is.

      You stop the slideshow to show the demo, then hunt for your slide, and the clicker does nothing until you click back into PowerPoint.

      Show the demo, then come straight back

      Show a window puts your demo, a dashboard or a site on the big screen from your phone. Back to slide 4 returns to the same slide, in about half a second.

      One tap starts the deck, on the right screen

      Tap a deck on your phone and it starts full screen on the projector, with Presenter View and your notes on the laptop.

      • Only what you pick goes upThe big screen shows the slideshow, or the one window you choose. Your desktop and everything else stay on the laptop.
      • Nothing left behindDesktop icons are hidden while you present and come back when you finish; anything you showed goes back where it was, at the same size.
      • Your file is safeDecks open read-only. Vega never saves over your presentation.

      A laser pointer doesn't show up on a TV, and the clicker that does costs $130 to $200.

      Point at anything, on any screen

      Hold the slide picture on your phone and point. It shows on TVs, where a laser pointer doesn't.

      • Four toolsLaser, Spotlight, Draw and Magnify. The chip on the picture switches tools in two taps.
      • Size and colourEach tool keeps its own size and colour.
      • Pointing or changing slidesHold the picture to point; a quick swipe changes the slide.

      The TV cuts off the edges of your slides.

      Fitted to the screen, by itself

      Many TVs crop the edges of the picture, so a title or a page number disappears. Vega spots a screen that does, fits your slides inside its edges, and says so once, with Undo.

      • AutomaticOn by itself for a screen that crops. Turn it off in My defaults if you'd rather fill the whole screen.

      The remote loses the laptop mid-talk, and nothing tells you.

      Always connected, and it says so

      The phone always shows what it's connected to. If the laptop sleeps or drops, a banner says so, your slide stays up, and Next waits instead of failing silently.

      • Your own laptopConnect once. After that it shows up on your phone by name.
      • A computer that's already in the roomIt shows a QR code and 8 digits. Scan it or type them, and your phone runs the talk. Vega has to be installed on that computer.
      • Shared modeOn a shared computer a guest can present, but can't open the owner's files or windows.

      Layouts: your desk in one tap

      A layout puts your apps where they go across your screens: Full or Split on each screen.

      • Clears the rest away“Hide other windows when this layout runs” hides everything that isn't part of it.
      • Your screens, by nameThe Desk tab shows each screen as a picture, under its own name, with every open window ready to move.

      Agendas: the running order

      Line up a talk once: the deck, then the dashboard, then the customer video. During the talk, each step is one tap.

      How every talk starts, set once on the phone. Every sheet with a setting also has Keep for every talk, which saves it here.

      Questions

      What do I need?

      A Windows 10 or 11 laptop with an internet connection, and any phone with a browser: iPhone or Android, with nothing to install from an app store. Mac is planned, with no date yet.

      When can I try it?

      It runs on my own laptop today. Testers from this list get it in small groups once the installer for other Windows laptops is ready. No date promised.

      Do my phone and laptop need the same Wi‑Fi?

      No. They connect through Vega's server, so your phone can stay on mobile data while the laptop uses the venue's Wi‑Fi or your hotspot. The laptop does need internet; a direct mode for rooms without it is planned.

      Do I still need a clicker?

      Your phone covers Next, Back and a black or white screen, plus Laser, Spotlight, Draw and Magnify, which show up on TVs too. It also does what a clicker can't: start the deck, switch to your demo and come back to the same slide.

      What about the meeting room's TV or computer?

      A TV plugged into your laptop works, and Vega fits your slides inside a TV that crops its edges; casting to a TV isn't supported yet. A computer that's already in the room needs Vega installed too. It shows a QR code and 8 digits, and your phone connects with either one.
